HOPE Sponsorship Agreement

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • In exchange for payment in full for the sponsorship, Hawaii Orthopaedic & Performance Education (HOPE) will provide the benefits as outlined on the application.
  • Payment in full is due at time of application. In the event that you cancel sponsorship, 50 percent of the contracted amount will be refunded to the company if HOPE receives notice of cancellation by July 14, 2023. After July 14, 2023, there will be no refund of sponsorship payment. All sponsorship cancellations must be submitted in writing to HOPE. No-shows are not eligible for refunds.
  • In the event of failure or inability to fulfill this contract, or to furnish the space, due to fire, strikes, authority of the law, or any other cause or reason, HOPE agrees to return to the sponsor all deposits or other monies paid, and thereupon this agreement shall be deemed canceled by mutual consent, and HOPE shall be relieved from all responsibility.
  • No sponsorship events outside of approved HOPE events are allowed at the facility.

HOPE is a joint provider and educational partner of Hawaii Consortium for Continuing Medical Education (HCCME), which is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education to physicians. HOPE reviews its own program and awards CME credits in accordance to ACCME policies and Standards for Commercial Support. As such, HOPE has established the following policies for sponsorship:

  • Sponsors will be held to the highest standard of financial support ethics and medical legal relationship structure limitations.
  • Commercial interests will not be allowed in the room during education events.
  • Industry workers will agree to not dictate or alter the meeting’s objectives in any way.
  • The involvement of industry support will be governed by the ACCME’s Standards for Commercial Support.
  • Presenters and meeting attendees will be held to a similar standard.
  • The Board of Directors will address all conflicts of interest.

The signature at the end of the Sponsorship Application acknowledges receipt of and agrees to abide by the Terms and Conditions which regulations are considered to be part of the agreement between sponsor and Hawaii Orthopaedic & Performance Education (HOPE) if this application is accepted by HOPE. Acceptance of this application as an agreement between the sponsor and HOPE will occur when signed by a HOPE Board member. HOPE does not guarantee the number of attendees. It is understood that all sponsorship agreements are subject to review by the Board of Directors. All claims or suits arising out of the application’s acceptance or rejection shall be governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, and any obligations arising out of the application’s acceptance or rejection shall be considered as occurring in Honolulu County, Hawaii.
